For mental health awareness week, we’re raising awareness of the impact of loneliness and how to address it in a company environment. One in four adults experience periods of loneliness throughout their life. We can be surrounded by people and still feel an overwhelming sense of loneliness.
Encouraging people to talk, feel safe and participate in team activities are good steps to take to help your employees feel less lonely and isolated.
Here at real5 Digital, one of our most significant values is people. Nobody realises how your mental health can affect your workplace well-being, and it can dramatically decrease workplace productivity if it’s poor. On the other hand, positively managing and supporting each other can create a warm office culture, so whenever possible we keep team spirits up after a long week at work by introducing some team-building exercises.
Our biggest tip on how to tackle loneliness is team bonding exercises. Team building brings people together by encouraging collaboration and teamwork. It’s the process of creating a team that is cohesively working together towards a common goal. The importance and primary goal is to create a supportive team by forming bonds and connections with each other. We recently took a trip to Bold Street House for a cocktail-making session… Liquor might not solve all your problems, but it’s worth a shot! (No pun intended). This activity is ideal for small to large groups; it’s fun and interactive and very creative, perfect for us rockstars.
We want to thank the lovely team and staff at Bold Street House for being so patient and making it worth the money.
