As our business continues to grow, we are delighted to welcome our new Digital Rockstar – Gina! She is our new Junior Digital Marketing Executive, and we are very excited to have her on board. So, over to Gina to hear a little bit about her, her passion for digital marketing and her goals for the future.
What did you study at University?
Business and Marketing at the University of Chester, which included a 14-month work placement at a global digital translation agency. Since graduating I’ve done a lot of freelance marketing work in the hospitality and health & social care training sectors. I’ve been looking to widen my practical experience, add to my academic achievement and ultimately find a full-time role at a dynamic digital marketing agency like real5.
What made you want to apply for this role?
It was perfect timing; I had just finished a short-term contract and this agency and role sounded exciting and ideal for my next career step.
Their social media posts showed real5 digital as a very creative, friendly and happy team.
Being a new business in Warrington, my home town with a huge amount of growth potential, how could I not apply for this opportunity?
Why are you passionate about Digital Marketing ?
My interest for digital marketing started at a 13, I was promoting local singers over social media.
I realised that engaging with music fans and gaining new followers for my “clients” gave me a real buzz.
As a member of Altrincham Synchronised Ice Skating Club, I then volunteered to set up and manage social media for them too. I love taking photos and improving them with Photoshop, I studied Photography, Business and Media at A Level.
I can’t wait to get out on location to take great images for our clients. I also enjoy analysing statistics to see what works and doesn’t over digital media and using the insights to create more effective campaigns.
What are you most excited about within this role?
I think just being in a young dynamic company, joining and working with a tight knit team. I can learn so much from their marketing experience, and knowledge. But I feel can also really contribute from day one too. I know I will be able to do more in content creation and data analysis.
I’m really looking froward to working with a wide variety of clients and learning about their businesses.

What are your goals for 2022?
Wow, I’ve only been here a week! Of course, I want to settle in quickly and find my feet. I want to complete the Google Fundamentals of Digital Marketing course and an SEO course.
