Eve’s apprenticeship so far…
If you didn’t already know, my name is Eve Noguerol and I’m real5’s newest digital rockstar – completing my level-3 digital marketing apprenticeship.
After college
I applied to real5 digital after sixth form having studied; ICT, Media and Business at A-Level. I knew I wanted to go into a creative industry, but I had very little knowledge of what opportunities are out there due to school and college pushing university on me. When I was stuck at a crossroad, that is when I stumbled upon a new opportunity in the world of digital marketing, I can safely say that my job role includes everything I ever wanted to do, without ever realising it.
Where are you now?
I am currently completing my digital marketing apprenticeship training with the company Apprentify, which I’m enjoying, and I’ve already learnt a lot in my first two lessons. Not only is the training good, but I can already see a huge improvement in my digital marketing skills from working my first full-time job with real5. A bonus is the office is located in Warrington town centre, 5-minute drive from my house, as well as all of my Apprentify lessons taking place online with the newest form of communication – Microsoft Teams… Yay, no travelling!
After A-Levels, most of my year either went to University, took a gap year or started an apprenticeship. Having so many people choose a different path to you can make you second guess yourself, however, I am extremely relieved that I stuck with my gut and ventured into the digital apprenticeship world. In my first week, I knew it was for me. I am now 2 months into my job, and I won’t lie, it isn’t easy juggling college work and a full-time job at the same time, but I am getting real work experience as well as learning more skills than I ever did in my 7 years of full-time education.
Eve’s advice
To anyone out there who is thinking about starting a digital apprenticeship, my advice to you is to go for it! The opportunities I’ve been given are incredible, as well as that I am getting an extremely rewarding qualification from my training, gaining digital knowledge, climbing my way up and getting paid.
